Grace Marks

I got failed in 4-2 and eligible for grace marks, jntu released advance supply notification , is it better to apply for advance supply ? Or can I wait until my memo comes and apply directly for grace marks without applying or writing advance supply exams? Should I do both or wait and apply for grace marks ?? Which is better ?
